In 2005, we became the first company in the Balearics to use natural gas and we began to replace liquid fuels with natural gas; this transformation process has now been completed 100%.
By using natural gas in our process we have been able to considerably improve the quality and to standardise the colours of our products, which has led to an increase in productivity and, above all, we have managed to bring about a major reduction in emissions into the atmosphere.
Natural gas has enabled us to control our combustion process much more exhaustively, which has meant that we can increase quality and production levels by reducing breakages and controlling consumptions more efficiently throughout the entire process, which has eventually brought about a reduction in specific consumptions.
We also generate our own electricity with natural gas using two cogeneration plants (cogeneration licence no. 1 in the Balearics).
